Home brewing

Eric and I have talked for a while now about home brewing some of our own brew. Both of us enjoy beer, and have progressed rather well into our World Beer Tours. Yesterday we finally met at the home brew store and bought ourselves the Delux kit and the ingredients for a Heff. Because we were so into opening all the packages, we didn’t end up having enough time to actually brew the wort, so he came over this morning and we did it. It actually is not that hard, and doesn’t smell bad at all, which I am thankful for. It was a good time and we enjoyed some store brew while watching the wort boil. Here are a few pics of the event. Just FYI, Eric wasn’t the only one doing anything, he just didn’t operate my camera when I was stirring. Plus he had to go get a new hydrometer half way through the operation.

Finally feels like winter

Today it is really freakin cold. I stepped outside this morning and was caught off guard by how cold it was. All week it has been in the high 60’s and 70’s so I wasn’t expecting to have to change into a sweatshirt. Anyways, here is a pic of the view of the mountains from my backyard.

Freakish weather

This morning I woke up to the strangest sight. Well, ok…I didn’t really wake up to it. It took me opening my garage door to go to work to realize it. But it is REALLY foggy here. It has been storming a lot lately, so I attributed the lack of sunshine shining around my blinds in my bedroom to another storm. So I got ready like normal and when I opened my garage door I noticed that I no longer had neighbors. I couldn’t see across the street! I then went out in my backyard and looked around and it is eerie. Here are a few pictures I took.

Suffice it to say, I was prudent and decided to sacrifice going into the office and work from home today. I wouldn’t want to drive with Tucson drivers in this. They are bad enough drivers without any bad road/weather conditions!

I’m Blind!

Well it took me over a year but it is done. I have blinds in my house. I knew exactly what I wanted, it just took me forever and a day to actually get it ordered and over with. But now it is done! They look awesome! Here are a few pictures.
